The B.A.B.E.S. facility on Northridge Drive
B.A.B.E.S. has been a member of the New London Community since 2004. We provide short term child care services for parents (or single parent) experiencing stress, and a safe nurturing environment for children.
The goal of our service is to prevent circumstances that may negatively impact the development of children, their well being, and the stability of their family. Our services are provided on a no-cost, non-judgmental, first come, first served basis. We provide virtually “barrier-free” assistance with dignity, to families through community contributions. While the model for our program is child abuse prevention we do so much more in helping families cope, survive and thrive through their difficult and unique situations.
The main focus of B.A.B.E.S. has always been to intervene before instances of child abuse can occur. We feel if we can give these parents a “time out” to regroup, revive, and recharge, they will better be able to deal with life stressors that can contribute to instances of abuse. Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long lasting scars. We are committed to breaking these cycles, and helping these families.
Who can use B.A.B.E.S?
If you are the parent of a child, from birth to 12 years of age and find yourself having no outlet to vent your feelings and frustrations, you find yourself alone and not always sure what to do--you don't have other options for child care during these times. You may even feel that your children are in a compromised situation or maybe that you are at the end of your rope. Hold on, we can help you and your family!!! Call: (920) 982-9995.
We can give you the time you need to take a breather, rest, relax, clear your mind and renew your thoughts. B.A.B.E.S also provides a safe, warm, structured, fun environment for your children by our loving compassionate staff.
